The Future Belongs to the Bold.
Let Their Voices Lead.

Our world’s broken systems are failing the next generation—and it’s the youth who will bear the weight of these crises, including climate change, deepening inequality, and lost biodiversity. But they are not just victims; they are visionaries. Their voices, ideas, and perspectives must not only be heard—they must lead the charge for sustainability and change.

The Project Biome Youth Fellowship exists to ignite this potential, empowering young leaders to tackle the urgent challenges of our time: rewilding the planet, regenerating ecosystems, and healing the fractured bond between society and nature.

The Biome Youth Fellowship is more than a program—it’s a transformative journey. Designed to inspire action and create lasting impact, it offers an immersive, customized experience through cutting-edge curricula, hands-on internships and co-created events. We work with youth for youth.

Roots and Horizons Fellowship programme

The Roots & Horizons Fellowship offers an online platform for youth engagement, knowledge sharing, and capacity building focused on the intersection of rewilding, regenerative agriculture, indigenous knowledge, and youth-led movements for systemic change. Through monthly interactive sessions, the fellowship empowers young people to become change-makers, advocating for sustainable and culturally connected futures.

This online fellowship, with participants selected through an application process, aims to connect youth with experts and peers to explore sustainable futures and indigenous knowledge; to develop leadership, advocacy, and critical thinking skills; and to foster a sense of community and empower youth to implement tangible actions in their communities.

Biome Youth Fellowship

The Biome Fellowship is an experiential, place-based learning program designed to equip youth in Southern Africa with essential skills to drive positive change in a fractured world. The fellowship emphasizes learning-by-doing and peer-to-peer collaboration. The fellowship aims to increase youth's knowledge and appreciation of indigenous knowledge and ecological practices and enhance their skills in ecological restoration, community leadership, and sustainable development.

Fellows will engage in a blend of online and in-person workshops, field visits, and retreats on topics like storytelling, agroecology, and media training, while developing practical skills in project management, facilitation, and research through hands-on activities and community-based projects.
