Co-created Biome Constellation Manifesto 

So many of us envision a better way. We are changing our methods of doing and being, learning to realign human and natural systems, and embracing new practices of interrelating and reconnecting with ourselves, each other, territories and biomes, the world, and the cosmos. Humanity has reached an inflection point, a time of great revelation, a prophetic time where the destruction and disconnection we have sown is now plain for all to see—and we are waking up. In many ways, the world is resorting to chaos, but we believe it is doing so in order to reconnect and put itself back together.

What if, instead of thinking the sky is falling, we are right where we are supposed to be? What if our greed, shame, anger and fear were tools for bringing about the extinction event we are currently facing so that we could finally expand to a higher level of consciousness? We seem to be doubling down on the destruction of the Earth, driving biodiversity loss, increasing climate change, and moving exponentially towards the collapse of our humanity and all Life on Earth. But as art and revolution have shown us, the end of something is the beginning of what arrives next. From extinction comes rebirth. Like a phoenix, we will rise from the ash.

To get to where we want to go, we must know where we come from. The lens of ancient wisdom is a way forward, we write the future based on being fully present in the now and our collective dreaming and action guide us. As conscious stewards of our own destiny, we are being challenged to find ourselves; to begin within. When we operate out of personal clarity and agency, we find the responsibility to sustain ourselves as fully awakened beings; we are free. Let us re-member what has been dis-membered, unite what has been divided, and alchemise creative, regenerative futures with Life at the center.

When seeking the healthy function of the Earth, or a city, or a farm, it is helpful to view it as a living organism. There is no central authority in a human body, the heart doesn’t worry about what the guts are doing, yet they cannot live without one another. The various systems and organs work together independently to achieve resonance and harmony. They simply operate in their integrity and authenticity leading to the healthy functioning of the body. To grow an organism, as opposed to an organisation, takes an act of cultivating life. It takes activation of intuition, imagination, and inspiration. It insists on an elevation of our thinking, feeling and willingness. It requires radical trust, openness and faith, and, most importantly, a fertile and familiar soil, a common foundation in which we can build and grow together.

We see solutions in the seed, where dormant life force energy is activated by the elements, beginning life within the womb of the Earth, where it is swollen with water and warmth, before being thrust into the air towards the stars, and energized by the fire of the sun with the mandate to nourish the planet. This manifesto aims for a place where all Life-centric paradigms intersect. Where the physical parts meet the spiritual parts and we can see ourselves in everything, with the vision of collectively naming the conditions by which the seeds of humanity can thrive.

May this manifesto communicate clear principles, remain humble and alive, and act as the cauldron binding us in common understanding as we pave an original path forward for human beings, write a novel design and development pattern, and activate a new dynamic living theory of change towards regenerative, awakened futures of Life.
